1) Godliness with Contentment is profitable for us in that, when we are content we don't sell our soul for unworthy things. Good things like work, business, etc. can become bad things for us if we idolize them because of a lack of contentment.
1 Timothy 6:6 - But godliness with contentment is great gain.
2) Intentionally learn to be content despite the circumstances
Philippians 4:11-12 - Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
3) Satan would like you to want all the treasures of this earth and keep you away from seeking God
Hebrews 13:5 - Let your conversation be without covetousness, and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
4) Your life's worth is not measured by your earthly possessions
Luke 12:15 - And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
5)God knows best. Let Him give you what is best for you.
1 Corinthians 7:17 - But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called everyone, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.
6) Earthly wealth is perishable. Be wise and store up treasures in a place where they can neither be stolen nor perish.
Matthew 6:19-24 - Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal
7) There is nothing wrong with being rich, but too much riches often pull people away from God. May God grant us wisdom to use our resources wisely and be content.
